Degree-Seeking Students

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate graduation information is emailed by the Registrar's Office to official student email accounts. Undergraduate students who have not received information from that Office by the second week of their final semester should contact the Registrar's Office.

  • Students are responsible for taking the required steps and completing the application by the published deadline.
  • Students should enter the correct mailing address, to which the diploma should be mailed, on the graduation application.
  • Submit the graduation application and pay the graduation fee.
  • Order graduation regalia, invitations, rings, etc. through the Campus Bookstore by the deadline.
  • Successfully complete all coursework and final exams for the semester.
  • Check Student Account via Appalnet to insure that it has no outstanding balance.
  • Students are welcome to participate in the graduation ceremony that celebrates their hard work and monumental achievement.
  • Expect to receive the diploma by mail 4-6 weeks after the ceremony.

A degree audit is generally sent to undergraduate students 1-3 terms prior to their last term of enrollment. Students should note outstanding coursework indicated by the audit and take steps to complete those courses or requirements. Questions regarding the degree audit may be addressed to the student's assigned academic advisor or to the assigned Distance Education Program Manager.

Program Completion

Graduate Certificate Students

Graduate Certificates are considered to be "program completions" rather than graduations. When you complete your certificate program, submit the Graduate Certficate Completion Form (listed under Program Materials) to receive your certificate.

Teacher Licensure Candidates (both UG and GR)

Obtaining/Upgrading teacher licensure is a separate process from applying for graduation. Graduates who seek to obtain/upgrade their teacher license should visit the Reich College of Education Teacher Licensure.
